Project Scope
The West Fourth Street Safety Project will reconstruct the roadway and introduce new safety and mobility features along the corridor. Planned improvements include:

Roadway Reconstruction

Complete rebuilding of the roadway for long-term durability and safety

Intersection Upgrades

New roundabouts at Stoker Avenue and Summit Ridge

Multi-Use Paths

South side: continuous path from Vine Street to Stoker Avenue

North side: continuous path from Vine Street to McCarran Boulevard

Lane Reductions
-
Streamlined roadway with fewer lanes from Edwards Way to McCarran Boulevard to improve safety and calm traffic

These improvements will create a safer, more connected corridor for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians while modernizing West Fourth Street for the future.

Normal working hours are Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Traffic Control

Current traffic control includes:

4th Street between McCarran Boulevard and Keystone Avenue is reduced to one lane in each direction.

Summit Ridge Drive is open to both northbound and southbound traffic.

All-way stop in effect at Stoker Avenue.

All-way stop in effect at Summit Ridge Drive.
Drivers should expect minor delays through the corridor. The speed limit through the corridor is reduced to 30 MPH.
